Day 1: Am I Thinner Yet?

Image
The triumph of the day--pulling myself out of bed at 5:45, which was actually 15 minutes earlier than my alarm was set for! I was eager to start the 80 Day Obsession program and I got right to work.  Struggles so far:  My Beachbody order has not arrived yet. I'm trying to be patient with BB but I would really have liked to have started this gig off with the appropriate equipment and the performance supplements. However, I'm improvising as I can and not letting it affect my excitement about and motivation for the program!  Eating a breakfast burrito at 6 a.m. is not exactly ideal I've decided...it took me about 30 minutes to get it down. Let's see how the rest of the week goes, otherwise I may have to adjust my morning meals.  Before Photos. Need I say more?  I weigh more now than I did when I started Beachbody in July 2017. Other than these very minor issues, I am off to a stellar start and eager to get through the rest of today's meal plan and move ...

Ready or Not...I'm Ready

All week I have been following new Facebook pages, learning more about the challenge meal plans, networking with some of the Beachbody coaches and challenge participants and even going back-and-forth with a group specific to keeping up with the challenges while traveling! I thought about working out a few times and tried to choose a healthier dinner option--but then I realized that I've got 80 days of good "behavior" coming up and that I wasn't going to deny myself of guilty pleasures this week. But, with that being said. This week is it. On Monday, I weigh in and I take measurements and I embark on healthier eating habits and a rigorous workout routine. It's going to be very difficult, on many levels. I'm going to be changing my eating habits and praying that my family...

80 Days of Obsessive Change!

Back in June of 2017 I made a decision to make some adjustments to my health. I had previously made some half-assed attempts; from juicing to protein drinks and painstaking cleanses--nothing worked and if it did, it didn't stick. For a while, I had been watching a gal on Facebook who was very motivational. She was posting daily work outs and talking up the Shakeology products! She looked good, she felt good, and I thought I needed to tap into some of her magic. So, I reached out to her and after a few months of debating, I took the Shakeology/Beachbody plunge. I worked hard for about six weeks and lost weight, was feeling strong and confident, and still enjoyed many of the foods (and beverages) I didn't want to miss out on. My hair and nails were healthier, my digestion was better, my energy level was through the roof! I continued with a variety of Beachbody programs through December. But, as Thanksgiving rolled around, I hit a plateau. The motivation that I once drew from ...
