80 Days of Obsessive Change!
Back in June of 2017 I made a decision to make some adjustments to my health. I had previously made some half-assed attempts; from juicing to protein drinks and painstaking cleanses--nothing worked and if it did, it didn't stick.
For a while, I had been watching a gal on Facebook who was very motivational. She was posting daily work outs and talking up the Shakeology products! She looked good, she felt good, and I thought I needed to tap into some of her magic. So, I reached out to her and after a few months of debating, I took the Shakeology/Beachbody plunge.
I worked hard for about six weeks and lost weight, was feeling strong and confident, and still enjoyed many of the foods (and beverages) I didn't want to miss out on. My hair and nails were healthier, my digestion was better, my energy level was through the roof! I continued with a variety of Beachbody programs through December. But, as Thanksgiving rolled around, I hit a plateau. The motivation that I once drew from Beachbody was failing me and I very quickly gained back some weight.
I hadn't even realized how good I felt until I stopped feeling good--if that makes sense?!? At the beginning of my journey, I progressively started feeling good while drinking Shakeology and working out 4-5 times a week. It wasn't until I stopped that routine that I realized how terrible a life without it felt! How did I ever get through life pre-Shakeology?!?
Today, I am bloated, my skin is breaking out, my nails are chipping, my energy level is increasingly low, I've gained back the pounds I worked hard to lose. I've regained the inches I had lost, I feel weak, and tired, and sloppy. I'm disappointed and almost depressed. I have ZERO motivation and my head is foggy all day long.
And so, it's time that I take back my motivation, my energy, my body...my LIFE.
Fitness trainer, Autumn Calabrese, is releasing a program called 80 Day Obsession. I AM ALL IN! The three week programs that Beachbody offers are wonderful, but I need something beyond that. My prayer is that this program provides me with the right tools and motivation to make a lifestyle change that will stick. 21 days isn't enough to transform--I hope that 80 days is!
Nate will join me in some aspects of the program, mostly in the kitchen. I'm have plans to incorporate the girls into this in order to encourage more healthful eating, more exercise, and an overall better sense of how to take care of your body.
Stay tuned to see how our lives are transformed.
